An online power of attorney in Georgia is a convenient way to authorize another person to represent your interests in various legal matters. These may include purchasing real estate, registering as an individual entrepreneur or company, or opening a bank account.
Since January 2024, the law firm Rokhvadze & Partners, in collaboration with European notaries, has been assisting with the preparation of notarized documents for use both in Georgia and abroad.
In this article, part of Rokhvadze & Partners Insights, we will explain how to create a power of attorney online via Notarity at https://notarity.com/en/booking/rokhvadze-partners/.
Preparing to Issue a Power of Attorney
Determine the purpose of the power of attorney: - Purchasing real estate or movable property - Registering an individual entrepreneur (IE) or company - Opening a bank account
We will draft the required text in the necessary language and submit it to the notary for review. This process typically takes just a few hours.
Gather the necessary information: - Your passport details (as the principal). - Full name, passport details, and contact information of the authorised representative. - A precise description of the powers being delegated.
Choose an online notary: Our partner notaries provide online notarisation services through the Notarity platform and live video calls after registration. Rokhvadze & Partners will organise the entire electronic notarisation process for powers of attorney and other documents.
